Public Services Best Practice Network

Central Government / Local Government / Health Service / Best Practice Guidelines

How do you reduce costs by 25%? Lead the workforce through radical change? And improve the customer experience?

Now more than ever our public service leaders need to find new ideas, to innovate and to learn from the practical experience of others. Our network helps executives to:

  • Learn from the experience of best practice, from across sectors
  • Deploy resources where the returns are greatest
  • Generate and test out new ideas and strategies with experienced peers

The Public Services Best Practice Network provides an established platform to identify, share and promote best practice and innovation in the reform of our public services.

The network programmes bring together senior public sector leaders and executives from the private sector to share their knowledge and practical experience of leading transformation programmes.

The Public Services Best Practice Network has three programmes:

Health Service programme (HS)

Central Government programme (CG)

Local Government programme (LGP)

Each programme provides regular, confidential, facilitated and trusted environments for public service leaders to share their experience in depth.

By learning from others, building new relationships and generating fresh insight, network participants are better placed to innovate successfully, to save time and money on their programmes and to deliver better outcomes.

The objectives of the network are to:

  • Accelerate the identification, sharing and promotion of best practice and innovation in reform, to the benefit of network participants and the wider sector.
  • Promote effective reform through the sharing of experience and insight, focused on the practical experience of leading change programmes, across the public and private sectors.
  • Improve the benefits realised from public/private partnerships by providing well structured and independently facilitated environments for rich dialogue, focused on best practice in transformation programmes.
  • Develop best practice guidelines, jointly produced by public and private sector network participants, aimed at a senior audience. Guidelines encapsulate agreed best practice and the critical success factors, for the key issues in public services reform.
