Health Procurement Strategy Programme
Part of the Public Services Innovation and Best Practice Network
How can we best implement the national strategy ‘Better Procurement, Better Value, Better Care: A Procurement Development Programme for the NHS’ and save £2bn for the public purse? What does world class procurement really look like, and how might the NHS achieve the same? How can strategic procurement directly support both sustainable efficiency gains and better healthcare outcomes?
The Health Procurement Strategy programme focuses on improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of procurement and supply chain management across the NHS producing best practice guidance for all NHS organisations. It engages executives from the financial, commercial and clinical community in the Department of Health, NHS England, the NHS and industry, as well as key leadership bodies such as HCSA and CIPS.
