Public Services BPI Group 1
ITW Networks
With the direction of travel heading towards decentralised government, it is important to learn how organisations from across the wider public sector are preparing for change.
This workshop provides a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise across central and local government.
We will be hearing from executives working in the wider public sector and gaining their views on how best to prepare for change.

Best Practice Insight group 1 (BPI1) brought together a new, pan public sector audience to address two themes: 1. Executing rapid change and 2. Innovating for efficiency. Discussions on the first theme looked at the main four considerations of effective change, and discussed how the lessons from successful change can be applied in today’s political environment, and as any new government sets out its agenda. Success factors for transformational leaders were also identified in the discussion on innovation in the public services. Lessons from the private sector were considered, and guidelines for realising the benefits of innovation identified. The draft BPI documents will be circulated to the network for comment soon.
