Local Government CEO Dinner

The Local Government Chief Executives’ Entrepreneurship Series, Autumn Dinner, addressed the transformation of local public services with Rt Hon Oliver Letwin, MP, Chairman of the Policy Review and the Conservative Research Department.  Following a summary of the key issues in local government by the chief executives present, Mr Letwin set out the Conservative framework for government. This included the transfer of power to individuals, payment by results and real local government control. Guests spent the remainder of the evening debating the practicalities of this proposed approach to reform.
